Description
Because GDAL/OGR is able to read compressed archives (gzip, zip, tar, targz) containing raster or vector layers (Reading a GDAL dataset in a .gz file or a .zip archive), it would be very useful to add this feature in gvSIG.

Because gvSIG uses GDAL/OGR now, this feature is yet implemented! We need to type only a suitable connection string in the OGR tab of the "Add layer" window. I set the ticket as invalid.
