Description

Steps in order to reproduce the bug:
  • for instance, load a polygonal layer;
  • double click on the layer in the ToC;
  • in the Symbology tab, select a whatever symbology and then click Ok in the Symbol selector dialog.

Result: the new symbology is applied even if the user has not clicked on the Apply or Ok button of the Layer properties window.

History

  • Target version set to 2.4.0-2850-final (rev. org.gvsig.desktop-2.0.220)

The issue is still present in gvSIG 2.4.0 build 2827. The symbology is applied even if the user clicks on the Cancel button of the "Layer properties" window, so it's not possible to restore the previous symbology (if necessary).

The description of this ticket may seem a bit misleading. The main issue happens when we click on the Cancel button of th "Layer properties" dialog. It should close the dialog without applying any changes, so the layer symbology should be the same of before opening the Layer properties. Instead, the active symbology is applied even if it should not. Several users report this wrong behaviour of Cancel button in the Layer properties, so it should be an high priority. My two cents.

Hi Antonio, we know it but it's not easy to solve at the moment.
