Description

Several users in the list report that sometimes an error arises trying to edit a symbol.

It seems that the error happens to users executing the 7 version of the java virtual machine.

The error is happening in the initialize method of the com.iver.cit.gvsig.gui.styling.SymbolEditor on the appgvsig project.

As workaround, a "plugin" that installs a jre 6 and modifies gvSIG to make use of this jre have been published in the addon repository.

Follow this steps to use it:

  1. launch gvSIG 1.12
  2. Go to "Tools" -> "Addons Manager"
  3. Choose "Install from URL", and press "Next"
  4. Select "JRE 32 bits for windows" and press "Finish"
  5. Wait until the download process finishes and restart gvSIG.
