It's true, doesn't work.
This error is important, I will try to fix it as soon as possible.

This one has been quite hard....

The problem is related to PROJ_LIB environment variable. It seems it was bad configured (in windows, quote should disappear).

To test the changes:

In Windows:
Download this .exe file and overwrite the original in your gvSIG installation

In Linux
Download the gvSIG.sh launcher and overwrite it in your gvSIG installation

Thanks for this bugfix. We also had this problem in gvSIG 2
