In this CD-ROM you will find documentation about gvSIG version %VERSION% and also installers for gvSIG.
If you do not want to install gvSIG in your hard drive but you want to work with it, you can run it from the CD-ROM itself by clicking over the executable file corresponding to your operating system.
They allow you to run gvSIG directly from the CD if you do not want to install anything in your hard drive.
The gvSIG version shipped in the CD contains the extension that manages Oracle connections. To get this extension working correctly you must download the driver (ojdbc14.jar) from Oracle's web page. To download it you will need to accept the license term and then select the ojdbc14.jar file..
You will also need to download the file sdoapi.jar from this web page. As above, you must accept the license terms and click the "Download the kit" link. You will receive a ZIP file that contains the sdoapi.jar file.
If you are under Linux save both files (ojdbc14.jar and sdoapi.jar) in the gvSIG/libraries within your user's home directory. If you are using Windows save those files in the C:\Documents and Settings\{user}\gvSIG\libraries folder.
